About the Festival
The world needs fixing. With rising inequality, global instabilities, looming climate crises and the ongoing pandemic, we need the necessary ideas and voices that will lead us during this pivotal moment of global history. Join 23 passionate thinkers, leaders, and pioneers as we take on these obstacles together and discuss the ideas that will move Singapore forward.
With three evenings worth of talks, debates, and performances by pioneering minds and captivating personalities, the Festival of Ideas promises to be insightful, provocative, and inspiring for all.
About RI200
To commemorate Raffles Institution's bicentenary (RI200) in 2023, RI will be inviting different segments of the community, including our fraternity of educators, to be part of the various events and activities during this celebration.

The Festival of Ideas is part of our larger RI200 Learning Festival, which aims to educate, entertain, and inspire our fraternity and the larger community with interesting ideas and fresh insights from diverse groups of professionals and practitioners.

Can I attend the Festival online?
The festival will be a fully physical event where speakers and participants are on-site.

What is the duration of the event?
Each evening's programme will last between 2 and 2.5 hours.

How can I purchase tickets for this event?
Tickets are sold separately for each evening. Purchase them through our EventNook page.
What will be included in each ticket?
In addition to gaining admission to the talks, debates and performances of the night, your ticket also includes an FOI-exclusive Green-Black-White Mocktail, specially created by The Winery, headed by alumnus Lin Wenjie.

What is the dress code for the Festival of Ideas?
The dress code for the event is smart casual.
I am purchasing tickets as part of a group. Will I need to purchase a specific seat?
Seats will be arranged around small tables and the event is free seating. As participants can choose their own seats, please arrive early to avoid disappointment

Will there be parking available?
There will be limited parking available at the Raffles Institution campus. Visitors can also park at the HDB carparks located at Bishan Street 12.
How can I get to Raffles Institution?
Raffles Institution is accessible via Bishan MRT or Marymount MRT as well as various buses. Detailed information can be found here.
